Dr Sarah White Clinical Psychology is a private clinical psychology practice which was established in 2024.
Sarah works collaboratively with children, adolescents and families to assess, diagnose and treat a range of psychological disorders and distress.
Sarah provides evidence-based psychological intervention to address disorders commonly occurring in childhood, such as mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment and trauma related difficulties, feeding and eating disorders, neuro-divergence and developmental difficulties.
Sarah will provide a thorough risk assessment and assist in the development of appropriate safety planning for young people and families who are navigating issues related to self-harm or suicidality. This may include onward referral to a crisis service for families who require assertive community follow up due to elevated risk or significant safety concerns.
Sarah has availability to complete Single Expert Witness Reports for the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. These Reports are designed to assist parties to answer questions and assist in resolving disputes relating to children and young people in the event of a family breakdown.
Sarah is registered as a AHPRA board approved supervisor, and is available to provide formal clinical supervision to psychologists-in-training, psychologists, clinical psychology registrars and clinical psychologists.
Dr. Sarah White is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked with children, adolescents and families since 2011. Following completion of her Bachelor of Psychology (University of Newcastle), she worked for the Department of Human Services for several years, before moving to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in 2011, and then to private practice in 2017.
Sarah completed her Doctor of Clinical Psychology (University of Newcastle) in 2014 and her thesis examined positive and negative consequences for children of parents affected by mental ill health.
Sarah is interested in working with children and adolescents who present with a range of anxiety, mood, eating, adjustment and trauma-related difficulties, and deliberate self-injury, and working with families to improve communication and strengthen relationships.
Sarah is available in the practice three days each week, and strives to balance her passion and enthusiasm for working with families, enjoying time with her husband and three children, studying karate as much as she can and enjoying all of life’s rich experiences.
Sarah is registered with AHPRA as a board-approved supervisor, and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Standard rate for initial and ongoing sessions $280 (50 minutes).
A Medicare rebate is available for clients presenting with a current Mental Health Care Plan.
